Senior Fellows is a three piece band from Tulsa, who submit their Lp for review and the first thing to came to my mind is “Why this dudes don’t have a label?” Their first self-titled LP sounds pretty awesome, compare with another bands sometimes is unfair and i have to said it, this time isn’t a exception. Senior Fellows bring an sludgie and hardcore album to gladden some ears.

The music of this album have those riffs and sounds that make me love the Sludge, slows and heavys with some distortion, complex and catchy, nothing overworked and monotono, in the same way, drums and bass sounds so well that fit perfectly between those riffs and voice. Dustin’s voice adds that hardcore touch to this band, his voice sounds pretty heavy and hardcore that reminds me many hardcore bands that i really like it.

The title of every track really catched my atention, just had to read it and you get an idea of any song and really fit so well with the voice.

This is a GREAT submission, a band who deserve to be known by many and a band that can give you a nice and gladly surprise. Highly recomended.

The album is mixed and mastered by Brad Boatright at AUDIOSIEGE, Portland.

My favorites songs: “Officer, are you Detaining Mem or am I Free to Go?”, “Underestimating the Extent of Predjudice in the White Population”, “A Systematic Review of Biblical Morality and It’s Injurious Impact on Society” (those riffs ♥) and “Edward the Confessor” (the voice on this song ♥).
